In this first episode, we will show how the upcoming RayStation® version supports evaluation and optimization of cumulative EQD2 for reirradiation planning, enabling a workflow aligned with recent clinical guidelines.
Presentations will be delivered by the team behind the functionality, together with clinical partners who have been closely engaged in its development:
✦ Jakob Ödén, Senior Research Engineer and Rasmus Bokrantz, Head of Algorithm Development from RaySearch Laboratories, will introduce the new reirradiation capabilities in the upcoming RayStation® version, including access of delivered dose from prior treatments, EQD2 accumulation across treatment courses with tissue-specific recovery factors, and plan evaluation and optimization on cumulative EQD2.
✦ Louise Murray, Associate Professor in Clinical Oncology, and Christopher Thompson, Principal Clinical Scientist from Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, will demonstrate the functionality on clinical reirradiation cases, showing how it supports clinical decision-making within a structured planning workflow.

In 2022, RaySearch asked the Help Ukraine Group (HUG) how a company developing cancer care software could support cancer patients in Ukraine.
Since then, 10 cancer centers across Ukraine and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv have received donations from RaySearch – 20 RayStation treatment planning systems in total.
At ESTRO 2025, RaySearch invited Ruslan Zelinskyi and Serhii Brovchuk to present the current state of radiotherapy in Ukraine – and, more importantly, to help answer another question: What more can we do for Ukraine’s cancer care field?
